NONVIOLENT STRATEGY to Navigate a Political Landscape of POLARIZATION & Authoritarianism

Digging deeper into nonviolence – not just a moral commitment, but an effective political strategy. Core principles: Means and Ends, Rule of Law, Agents Provocateurs, Constructive Program, and Respect. Moderators are longtime lover of democracy Sheridan Hill and retired Pastoral Counselor Daniel O. Snyder, Ph.D. Dr. Snyder is a teacher-consultant on nonviolent strategies whose book, “Praying in the Dark: Spirituality, Non-Violence and the Emerging World,” offers an integrative model for transformational change in our personal and political lives.

ANOTHER NAME FOR NONVIOLENCE? DEMOCRACY! Beyond political parties, factions, and radical wings, right and left, democracy is an ecosystem that is relational and takes a lot of work. Authoritarianism is, frankly, easier, providing you trust power holders to serve your interests. But that kind of power is corrupting, and although democracy takes a lot of work, it is our only sustainable way forward.
