SiembraNC

Siembra NC was born in 2017 in response to Trump’s war on immigrants and the gap in support and resources for the broader Latine community in North Carolina. We are a grassroots organization focused on defending our communities from abusive employers and landlords, ICE, and bad políticos. We operate primarily in Alamance, Durham, Forsyth, Guilford, Orange, Wake, Randolph and Rockingham counties, and have active members around the state. With & without papers we are making moves to create the North Carolina our gente deserves.

We couldn’t sit on the sidelines while the discrimination, criminalization and terror against our gente kept growing, so we drew inspiration from the resilience of our people and the power in our numbers. We are over 1.2M Latines in North Carolina and, in the past few years, we’ve made sure more of us have shown up and showed out, together.

Defend & Recruit

He did what he said he would do – Trump’s executive orders targeting immigrants and escalating immigration raids are a clear threat to millions. And not only that, he thinks this is the path for keeping Republican  legislative control in 2026.

But there’s a lot we can do to make sure that families in our communities aren’t detained by ICE, and to expose many more people to the reality that MAGA only cares about billionaires – not the workplaces and schools that are be in crisis after every detention.

Read about how in our op-ed in Teen Vogue, and then download a playbook for defending immigrants (below), sign up for a training, and join the fight.

Disappeared in America – Talk to Your Sheriff Training

Watch this training on how to meet with or call your sheriff and urge them to not cooperate with ICE in disappearing our neighbors. We walk you through how to talk to your local sheriff, and provide answers to some of your questions. Use this training to help bring an end to these disappearances in your community.

Talk to Your Sheriff Toolkit

This important document will walk you through every step of setting up a meeting with your sheriff, from using Mobilize to coordinate your meeting, to finding your sheriff's contact information, to inviting others to join, and more.
